Ski In / Out Access to Kimberley Alpine Resort
Located in the beautiful Purcell Range of the Canadian Rockies, Kimberley Alpine Resort provides beautiful views in a laid-back and friendly atmosphere. With 70 runs to choose from that range from beginner through expert, Kimberley is the family resort of the rockies. With ski in and out access Willow Vistas could just be perfect for your family.
For those who want to explore a little before you reach the base area, or for those staying on the mountain, the North Star Trail will take you from below the skier bridge amongst a tree lined, low angle trail to your destination in the Resort plaza. Moe’s Trail – A new intermediate trail to the skiers’ right of Boundary Run. Nate’s Way – A new access trail from the Top of the Tamarack Chair to the Stemwinder Run. New designated FIS Homologated run as part of the Kimberley Paralympic program.
Six Golf Courses Within Reach
The saying "More golf courses than stop lights" is getting even more truth behind it. The Kimberley area is expecting two new courses to pop up in the near future. The recently announced Gary Player championship courses between Cranbrook and Kimberley, will just add to this legacy. These new courses will bring the total number of courses within 30 minutes to 6!
Canadian Rockies International Airport
The Canadian Rockies are now a lot more accessible. Cranbrook's International Airport, also known as the Canadian Rockies International Airport, opened to international arrivals as of August 15th 2007. With full operation of the upgrades, Kimberley has become one of the closest ski resorts to an international airport worldwide.
Currently both Air Canada Jazz and Mountain Air service Calgary and Vancouver from Cranbrook and West Jet is being courted by the city of Cranbrook for ski season flights.
